Mission and Outreach
As Jesus commanded, we are involved in mission
locally and worldwide in three ways.
Being informed - We use some of our time together to learn of local, national and
international mission work. This may be from the organisation's
publicity or the visit of a representative.
Providing support - We support God's work through prayer, financial giving and
personal contact.
Encouraging involvement - We promote direct involvement in mission, both locally and going
overseas.
Supported missions
Belle Vue has committed part of its income to the causes
below and supports them through regular prayer. We also give financially to specific causes, for example appeals
of charity organisations at times of famine or disasters.
Baptist Union Home Mission
Home
Mission is the Baptist Family sharing together to enable mission
throughout Great Britain. Home Mission helps churches in strategic mission situations,
that could not have otherwise afford a minister, to have one. It
funds chaplains working in education and industry. It supports
evangelists and missioners.
By sharing together, we enable the spread of the Gospel and
the growth of the Church. And by working together and pooling
our resources we can achieve so much more.
Your support can make a world of difference - it enables the
Baptist Union to help others across the country. As a member of
the Baptist family, Home Mission has got everything to do with
you! And with God's work!

Anusaran
John & Abha David working in Dwarka, New Delhi,
India, had the vision that ‘Every woman and child should get an
opportunity to live life in its full dimension without any
discrimination’. They founded a charity, "ANUSARAN" which means
means ‘following by example’ and aims to educate children and give
women skills such as embroidery. The work is on two sites. One, near
their flat in a slum area, has two rooms for teaching the children
and women while a third is the meeting place for the church, which
has a congregation of 40 (mainly children) led by John. The second
site, 20 minutes away, is larger. The Davids also have links with an
orphanage.
Some years ago, a team of ten from Belle Vue and Avenue Baptist
Churches, as part of a BMS project, spent time
working with Anusaran. Each year since, Colin Norris and
David Eastwick of the original team with others from Belle Vue, have
been made further visits , supported by the church.
